2014: Delaware Wildlife Area: 41 acres

The field was sprayed with herbicide a week prior to the planting, but the drill still had to maneuver through some weedy areas

Heavy rains came, but the tractor kept running until the field was planted!

June 29th: Grass at 3 weeks!!!

July 25th: Grass at nearly 7 weeks.....Coming in good!  4 inches in some spots and 10 on higher ground with very little weed competition.

2015: Delaware Wildlife Area: 18 acres


11 acres in dog training area and 7 acres off of Calhoun Rd.

2016: Delaware Wildlife Area: 22 acres

(12 acres in dog training area and 10 acre pollinator plot on Cole Road)

Since 2014, the Greater Columbus Chapter of Pheasants Forever has planted and maintained more than 115 acres of habitat on the Delaware Wildlife Area.  Here is a breakdown of the work done by our tremendous group of volunteers:

2017: Delaware Wildlife Area: 37 acres

(12 acres in dog training area and 25 acre pollinator plot at Horseshoe Road/Sherwood Rd intersection)

Also, .3 acre pollinator plot at Division of Wildlife District One Headquarters on Dublin Rd, and a private project consisting of 25 acres of grass and pollinator mix in Ostrander, OH
